Priyanka Thapa, MSW, CSW, is a Clinical Social Worker in Utah who earned her Master of Social Work from New York University (NYU). She takes a client-centered and holistic approach to therapy, working collaboratively with clients to create a supportive and respectful space where individuals feel seen, heard, and valued.
Having lived and studied across different cultural contexts, Priyanka integrates Eastern and Western perspectives into her work in a thoughtful and grounded way. This background informs her approach to healing the mind and body and supports her work with individuals from diverse backgrounds. She is fluent in English, Hindi, and Nepali.
In her clinical work, Priyanka draws on sensitivity, curiosity, and empathy while integrating evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches. She is trained and well-informed in multiple therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, EMDR, attachment-based and psychodynamic approaches, Play Therapy and mindfulness.
Priyanka is also a 500-hour certified yoga teacher and, when appropriate, incorporates grounding and body-based practices to support emotional regulation and overall well-being.
She works with children, adolescents, adults, and couples, offering both short- and long-term therapy. Areas of focus include anxiety, depression, stress and life transitions, relationship concerns, and personal growth.
