Cam Nielson is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Utah Valley University. Her undergraduate degree is in Educational Psychology focusing on Behavior Analysis from the University of Utah. She strongly believes in the importance of building wellness in one's life and aims to help her clients achieve that sense of wellbeing.
Cam loves working with teenagers and adults to address primarily clinical issues, such as depression and anxiety. She seeks to establish a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship with each of her clients and adapts her approach based on what works best for each unique individual. She combines cognitive therapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) & Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) with behavioral principles to help create change.
Outside of work, Cam enjoys yoga, skiing, and spending time with friends and family.
Cam sees clients at our Pleasant Grove office and via telehealth with clients throughout Utah.
