Michaela graduated from BYU-Idaho with a bachelor's in sociology and then completed her master's in social work at BYU. She enjoys working with teenagers and adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, faith transitions, and family and relational issues.
It is important to Michaela to tailor her approach to each client's individual needs, which is why her approach treatment comes from multiple evidenced based modalities including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Attachment Therapy, DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), IFS (Internal Family Systems), Self Compassion, and Solution Focused Therapy.

She empowers her clients to access these internal resources as well as provides external tools to help her clients live a full and authentic life. It is important to Michaela to create a space that is compassionate and free of judgment in order for her clients to do their best healing.
