Cori is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Using an attachment based approach, she helps clients create more secure relationships with themselves and the people they love. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Family Studies from Brigham Young University and her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the AAMFT accredited program at Abilene Christian University. Cori works with individuals, couples, and families facing a variety of emotional and relational challenges, including relationship distress, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, postpartum adjustment, family conflict, and life transitions.
Cori believes we are wired for connection and that our closest relationships have the greatest influence on our emotional wellbeing. She believes healing begins when we understand the emotions that shape our lives and experience the safety of being truly known. When those connections become strained, whether with a partner, family member, or even ourselves, it can leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or alone. Her goal is to help clients better understand the emotions and attachment needs beneath their struggles so they can develop a stronger sense of self, build healthier relationships, and experience lasting emotional change. She especially enjoys working with couples and parent teen relationships, helping families move beyond negative cycles and build relationships marked by trust, safety, and connection.
Cori’s approach combines evidence based therapy with genuine compassion and respect for each client’s unique experiences, values, and spiritual beliefs. She strives to create a warm, supportive environment where clients feel safe exploring difficult emotions, discovering new perspectives, and moving toward the life and relationships they want. She believes meaningful change is possible at any stage of life and considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they heal, grow, and strengthen the relationships that matter most.
After experiencing the heartbreaking loss of a child and navigating infertility, Cori gained a deeply personal understanding of grief, hope, and healing. Those experiences continue to shape the empathy she brings to her work and have strengthened her desire to walk alongside individuals and families facing pain, trauma, relationship challenges, and significant life transitions.
Outside the therapy office, Cori treasures spending time with her husband and three children. She values meaningful relationships and believes that healing happens through connection, with ourselves, with those we love, and with the people who walk beside us through life’s most difficult seasons.
“When we connect, we heal. And when we heal, we connect.” —
