Shara is a clinical social worker and loves connecting with others! Her warm energy invites individuals to feel safe and comfortable in their therapeutic experience of self-discovery. Shara utilizes a trauma-informed approach to meet you where you are, co-creating strategies based on your personality, history, and current needs.
Shara is especially passionate about women's issues, including perinatal and maternal mental health and the intersection of the female hormone cycle and mental health. She has experience working with clients navigating spirituality/faith transitions, parenting, life transitions, grief and loss, post-traumatic growth, and members of the LGBQT+ community. It is her honor to support individuals, couples, and families through these deeply personal experiences. She looks forward to walking alongside you on your path to well-being.
Shara has completed specialized training in EMDR and Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C), Play Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Additionally, she has been trained in Motivational Interviewing, narrative therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, and various creative and somatic modalities. She is committed to creating a safe and growth-oriented space for each person's journey.
Shara obtained her Master of Social Work from Brigham Young University. Outside the therapy office, Shara enjoys spending time in any available forest, experimenting with tea flavors, and engaging in creative arts. While she cherishes quiet downtime with friends or a good book, making magic with her kids is where her heart grows the most.
She is currently seeing clients in the Spanish Fork location and via telehealth.
