Mandy Doherty, CSW, CTRS, TRS (she/her), is a compassionate and down-to-earth therapist who works with teens and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, neurodivergence (including autism), OCD, and faith transitions.
Mandy believes that therapy should be a safe and affirming space where clients feel fully seen and heard. Her style is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. She has experience supporting clients through identity exploration, relationship challenges, and recovery from substance use. Mandy also understands how overwhelming it can be to manage internal expectations or anxiety in a world that often misunderstands neurodivergent or highly sensitive minds.
With training in CBT, DBT, ACT, TF-CBT, and mindfulness-based interventions, Mandy takes a flexible, evidence-based approach, while always tailoring care to each person's unique strengths, values, and goals.
Mandy earned her Master's in Social Work from Chamberlain University and her Bachelor's in Recreation Therapy from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Outside the therapy room, you'll likely find her trail running, ski mountaineering, or recharging outdoors. Mandy offers both in-person sessions in Salt Lake City and virtual therapy across Utah.
