Shaylee is a fully licensed, trauma-informed clinician with specialty training in working with survivors of sexual assault, relationship abuse, grief, and the often complex process of faith deconstruction and reconnecting with a sense of self. She works with individuals navigating deeply personal pain, including those who appear outwardly composed yet feel quietly overwhelmed or alone on the inside. Many of the clients Shaylee sees are insightful, capable, and used to being the strong one for others, while internally carrying anxiety, self-doubt, or emotional weight that feels hard to put into words.
Her work is grounded in evidence-based, trauma-informed modalities including Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic approaches, attachment theory, and client-centered therapy. While Shaylee values insight, her work extends beyond traditional talk therapy by incorporating the body and nervous system into the healing process, helping clients experience change rather than just understand it. Shaylee takes a deeply relational approach to therapy, prioritizing a sense of emotional safety, trust, and genuine connection in the room. She believes that meaningful change happens not just through insight, but through experiencing safety within a supportive relationship, where clients feel seen, understood, and able to explore and grow at their own pace.
Shaylee feels especially honored to work with therapists, physicians, first responders, and other healers. She understands the unique weight that can come with being the one others rely on, and she is intentional about creating a space where healers themselves can be supported, not just as professionals, but as people.
Whether you are a college student, parent, or high-achieving professional, Shaylee offers a grounded and compassionate presence as you navigate life’s challenges. As a mother of five teenagers, she brings both lived experience and a deep respect for the complexity of real life into the therapy space, often helping clients feel more at ease, understood, and human in their struggles.
Shaylee earned her graduate degree from Tulane University, where she received a culturally diverse and expansive education that continues to inform her inclusive, thoughtful approach to care.
Outside of the therapy room, Shaylee enjoys going on hiking adventures, cycling, and spa days. As an avid animal lover, Shaylee loves spending as much time as possible cuddling her cat, Agnes.
She is currently seeing clients in Pleasant Grove.
