McKenzie Robertson

McKenzie Robertson is a Certified Social Worker with a Master of Social Work degree from Brigham Young University. McKenzie is also an ART trained therapist with a special interest in treating post-traumatic stress. Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an evidenced based technique that utilizes guided eye movements to assist individuals with reprocessing distressing memories and images. For many, this treatment works quickly and relief is experienced after just one session.

McKenzie has worked with children, teens, and adults facing various challenges including anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, trauma, grief, self-esteem, perfectionism, and life transitions. She draws from a variety of techniques including Client Centered Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness and Strengths Based approaches. She also has experience using Child Centered Play Therapy and Sand Tray Therapy.

As an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist, McKenzie is dedicated to creating a supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore questions of gender, sexual orientation, and identity.

With a background in the LDS faith tradition, McKenzie is uniquely positioned to support individuals from similar backgrounds, whether they are deeply rooted in their beliefs, navigating a faith transition, or refining their spiritual views. She welcomes clients of all religious and spiritual backgrounds, striving to provide a safe and affirming space for all.

McKenzie has a firm belief that every person has within themselves exactly what it takes to experience the healing and transformation they desire. As a therapist, she feels that it is her honor to be a support and a witness to the healing process and to assist individuals in recognizing their potential and creating meaningful change in their lives.
