Lauren is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and EMDR trained therapist passionate about helping children, teens, and adults heal from past experiences and navigate life's challenges. She believes that every person has an innate capacity for healing and growth. She strives to provide a compassionate, accepting, and nonjudgemental space where you feel heard. Lauren specializes in treating trauma, perinatal mental health challenges, depression, anxiety, and has extensive experience working with children and teens.
Lauren uses a person centered approach and tailors therapy to your unique strengths, experiences, and goals. When working with children, she believes parents and caregivers play an essential role in the healing process and collaborates with families to strengthen relationships and support progress both in and out of therapy. Lauren is trained in perinatal mental health and uses the evidenced based modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), Client Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT), and Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI).
Lauren graduated with her Master's in Social Work from Boise State University. Outside of therapy, Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter playing pickleball, exploring parks, and finding new places to eat. Lauren also enjoys reading, exercising, and baking.
Lauren sees clients at our Spanish Fork and Provo offices, as well as throughout Utah via telehealth.
