Kristen Kamimoto

Kristen Kamimoto is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern studying at Northcentral University. She believes in the deeply-rooted human need for connection and belonging in our relationships. Shame, pain, and fear tend to get in our way. Overcoming the barriers to belonging and embracing connection, vulnerability, and love in relationships is at the heart of Kristen's therapeutic approach. She has experience working with couples in conflict, adults with trauma and faith transitions, and children and youth with trauma, anxiety, and life transitions. Kristen uses therapeutic models such as Emotionally Focused Therapy, sandtray therapy, play therapy, CBT, and mindfulness strategies. She is an outdoor enthusiast, foodie, world traveler, avid reader, and new mom.
